Tishbi Vineyards Shiraz 2016
Soon after emigrating from Lithuania in 1882, Michael Chamiletzki was personally asked by Baron Edmund de Rothschild to plant and develop vineyards near Zichron Yaacov. Thus began the history of one of Israels iconic wineries. Today, winemaker Golan Tishbi continues the legacy of his great-grandfather, producing exemplary wines that prove the bright future of Israeli viticulture and winemaking. Tishbi Shiraz is fermented and aged in stainless steel to preserve the fresh fruit flavors, which are evident in the bright aromatics that feature red berry, currant and plum. The palate is herbaceous with additional fruity notes and a hint of toffee on the finish. A great house red you will return to over and over again, it is best with simple foods like burgers, pizza and homemade macaroni and cheese.
